Vaccine Hesitancy: between the Legitimacy of Fear and the Duty to Know.
A Public Debate Towards a Participatory Citizenship
In recent years, the vaccine debate has shaped our daily lives, often forcing us to take sides in two opposing camps: pro and against. However, vaccine acceptance and hesitancy are very complex phenomena, multifaceted and influenced by multiple dimensions.
On November 21, 2024, at 9:00 PM, we invite you to join us at the S.M.S. Rifredi for an interactive meeting where experts in medicine, psychology, and communication sociology from the University of Florence will explore the issue of vaccine hesitancy from a multidisciplinary perspective.
The project “Balance & Wellbeing: Engaging the Community for the Health and Rights of Working Mothers with an Interdisciplinary Approach”, one of the winners of the UNIFI Extra 2024 Public Engagement Grant, includes 9 blended events (e.g., debates, science cafés, workshops, and gamification activities) and a podcast titled “Working Mothers in Power” (9 episodes). These initiatives will explore themes such as health, rights, work-life balance, and access to local and corporate support services for working mothers.
